Convert my Wordpress blog into collection of mkdocs generated site.

Steps involved

• export-wordpress-to-markdown
  • Obtain XML export file from Wordpress
  • Use wordpress-export-to-markdown to convert XML into markdown files within a specific folder
• modify-markdown-files
  • Use blogTidyup.py create the initial blog folder structure by modifying the markdown files of the previous step and relocating them.
  • A computation component (blog.py) runs as part of mkdocs build process to generate additional markdown files
• modify-interface
  • Tweak the mkdocs configuration (new templates etc) to improve the interface
  • Implement additional computational-components

  • Evaluate and compare the two different blogs (and hopefully document the improvements)
• refine-the-authoring-process
• Replace Wordpress
  • Pension off Wordpress and start using the mkdocs version of the blog
